Jelajah: Our Rattan Journey

Founded in 2021, Jelajah Rattan began its journey in collaboration with local artisans in Cirebon and has since grown into a fully established factory employing over 20 skilled workers. From the beginning our mission has been to build fair, transparent, and lasting relationships across the supply chain while pioneering innovation in rattan-based products.

As Indonesia is home to more than 80 percent of the world’s rattan species, we see rattan not just as a material but as a bridge between people, forests, and sustainable futures. We are redefining the rattan industry by combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced processing and laminated technologies, transforming rattan into high-value materials for furniture, interiors, musical instruments, and more.

Our commitment goes beyond products. Through nursery and replanting programs that plant 30,000 seedlings annually and through eco-friendly processing innovations, we safeguard biodiversity, empower over 200 farmers and artisans, and ensure traceability with international certifications. Every creation from Jelajah Rattan reflects our belief that sustainability, innovation, and cultural heritage can thrive together, making us a trusted partner in shaping the future of premium sustainable materials.
